IPART has been asked by the Minister for Lands and Property to review rents for communication sites on lands managed under the:
- Crown Land Management Act 2016
- National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974
- Forestry Act 2012.
As part of the review, we have been asked to recommend a rental fee schedule that is simple and easily implemented, and based on evidence from the private market.
We released our Draft Report for consultation in July. We received submissions from 16 stakeholders.
Subsequently, in November, we received additional information from several telecommunications industry organisations and from the Crown land agencies.
This additional information has now been incorporated into a revised draft report which presents an opportunity for all stakeholders to comment on it, and on changes to some proposed recommendations since the draft report.
Submissions on our revised draft report are due by Wednesday 12 February 2025.
