IPART has invited community feedback on a revised draft report which recommends rental prices for communication sites on certain Crown lands.
IPART invited public submissions on a draft report in July, and also held a public hearing.
Tribunal member Jonathan Coppel said 16 submissions were received, which were published in October.
“Subsequently, in November, we received additional information from several telecommunications industry organisations and from the Crown land agencies,” he said.
This additional information has now been incorporated into a revised draft report which presents an opportunity for all stakeholders to comment on it, and on changes to some proposed recommendations since the draft report.
“Given the proposed changes to recommendations and new information, the Tribunal considers that all stakeholders should have an equal opportunity to make further submissions,” he said.
The revised draft report is available on IPART’s website. Stakeholders can make submissions online until 15 January 2025. IPART will consider all submissions before finalising its review and submitting a Final Report to Government in February 2025.
