IPART is undertaking a review of WaterNSW’s operating licences. As a result of the review, we will recommend a new operating licence(s) for WaterNSW to the Minister for Lands and Water. The operating licence(s) will authorise WaterNSW to undertake certain of its functions, and include terms and conditions regulating how it undertakes these functions.
We have released an Issues Paper as the first step of the review process. It outlines the current regulatory requirements around each of WaterNSW’s functions, identifies key issues including regulatory gaps and duplication, and provides some questions for stakeholders to respond.
