The Determination is the legal instrument for our pricing decisions. The Determination for Hunter Water outlines the system-wide maximum prices for wholesale services provided by Hunter Water from 1 January 2018.

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW (IPART) proposes to increase maximum prices that can be charged by Hunter Water for water, wastewater and drainage services. The higher prices will apply from 1 November 2005.

IPART has released its final report on maximum prices that Hunter Water can charge its customers in the Lower Hunter region, including Newcastle, from 1 July 2020.

At the request of Hunter Water Corporation (Hunter Water), the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) has agreed to bring forward the timing of Hunter Water’s price review by one year such that new prices will apply from 1 July 2016.A

This report explains our determination for Hunter's Hill Council’s special variation application for 2013/14. Special variations allow a council to increase its general income (mainly rates income) by more than the rate peg.

IPART is undertaking a 5-year review of Hunter Water’s operating licence. The review will determine if the existing licence is meeting its objectives and whether the licence can be amended to make it more effective.
