IPART has completed its review of Sydney Water’s stormwater scheme in the Mamre Road industrial precinct.
IPART provided its Final Report to the Secretary of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water on 21 November 2024, with our findings and recommendations on:
- the efficient costs of providing stormwater drainage services in the Mamre Road Precinct, and
- the efficient allocation of these costs between developers, taxpayers and others.
The Mamre Road precinct is part of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis industrial hub. Sydney Water manages stormwater, wastewater and recycled water networks for the initial precincts within the Aerotropolis (including Mamre Road), consistent with government planning and waterway health objectives.
We thank all the stakeholders who contributed to this review by making submissions on our Issues Paper and Draft Report and participating in our stakeholder workshops and Public Hearing.
