IPART is inviting feedback on our draft maximum prices for land valuation services provided by the Valuer General to local councils, effective from 1 July 2025.
We have determined a single annual draft price of $7.86 for each valuation provided to councils, which is lower than the prices proposed by the Valuer General for land valuation services.
The Valuer General proposed to increase prices between 21% and 38% due to increases in land valuations service costs.
IPART has assessed the efficient cost of providing land valuation services to be 16% lower than proposed by the Valuer General.
We are also interested in stakeholder views on issues such as ways the Valuer General could address the rising cost of objections and how to allocate costs to other uses of land valuation data.
You can provide feedback on the Draft Report, Efficient Cost Report, and Draft Determination by making a submission by 4 May here.
Stakeholders can also register (RSVP) to attend our online public hearing (agenda) on 15 April 2025.
Stakeholders who would like to be notified by IPART of updates to this review can subscribe here.
