Publication of Documents

By submitting documents to IPART via the IPART’s Council Portal, the Council agrees to the documents being published on our website unless the Council requests that a document (or any part of it) is treated as confidential.

Copyright

It is the responsibility of the Council to have obtained appropriate licence(s) for materials included in its documents that may be subject to copyright.

IPART may choose not to publish any newspaper articles or other materials that may be subject to copyright.

Request for confidentiality

When a Council submits documents via IPART’s Council Portal, it may request that a document, or any part of it, be treated as confidential. Here, you may submit documents which the Council requests be treated as confidential in their entirety. Alternatively, you may highlight sections in your documents, and notify us that the Council requests that the highlighted sections be treated confidentially in “Council Comments” when submitting the documents. [We may discuss the confidentiality request with the Council.]

Councils should note that information treated confidentially by IPART could be disclosed under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW), or where otherwise required by law. IPART determines requests for access to confidential information in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
