We have released a Draft Report on our assessment of the East Leppington Contributions Plan.
What has the council proposed?
Liverpool City Council proposes to levy a total of around $80 million in developer contributions to provide the local infrastructure needed to service the precinct.
Overview of our findings
We found that the infrastructure costs in the plan are essential and reasonable.
However, we consider there is a possibility the council’s open space and transport works costs might turn out to be underestimated. To ensure these cost estimates are accurate we encourage the council to review its costs in the future.
