IPART engaged Aither to:
- review bulk water trading markets
- identify factors that affect trade, and
- assess the impact of IPART’s pricing and licensing frameworks on trade.
IPART is interested in understanding the dynamics of interstate and intrastate bulk water trading and how the pricing and licensing frameworks affect trade in these markets.
IPART engaged Aither to undertake this review.
We are not seeking stakeholder submissions at this stage. There will be opportunities to provide input during our price reviews for the:
- Water Administration Ministerial Corporation services in mid‑2019 to apply from 1 July 2020, and
- WaterNSW rural bulk water services in mid‑2020 to apply from 1 July 2021.
