IPART has released a discussion paper to facilitate consultation on the review of rural water charging systems. This paper explores potential options for the billing of bulk water charges that might be better matched to business cash flows and methods of determining the Government cost share for bulk water charges in NSW that will be determined by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. We encourage stakeholders to make submissions to the discussion paper and to attend the public hearing on 3 July 2012.
