IPART has released its Final Report on the prices WaterNSW can charge customers for water transportation services provided by the Murray River to Broken Hill Pipeline.
IPART has also released its Final Report on the prices Essential Water can charge customers for water services in Broken Hill and surrounding areas.
Our prices aim to minimise customer bill impacts while still providing WaterNSW with enough funding to maintain good quality Pipeline services.
Under our decisions, bills would generally decrease for Essential Water and offtake customers, before inflation.
To set these prices, we considered ongoing and financing costs, the number of customers who will share these costs and the amount of water the Pipeline would need to transport for its customers.
We are grateful to everyone who attended our public hearing on 6 September 2022 and shared their input with the Tribunal. We also thank everyone who made a submission on the Draft Reports. We listened to the community’s views and considered all feedback when making our decisions and recommendations.
