This paper explains how we intend to treat asset disposals in our water pricing reviews. It follows stakeholder consultation and feedback received in response to our September 2017 Issues Paper. This paper directly applies to water utilities we regulate. For other businesses we regulate, we will consider applying the principles in this paper when dealing with asset disposals on a case-by-case basis.
