IPART undertakes annual audits of WaterNSW's compliance with both its former Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) and State Water Corporation Operating Licences. The 2016-17 audit was the final audit under the SCA Operating Licence 2012-2017 and the fourth and final audit under the State Operating Licence Water 2013-2018. The current WaterNSW Operating Licence 2017-2022, replaces the State Water and SCA licences of the two previous entities from 1 July 2017.
