Hunter Water's customer Contract has been in place for 6 years. As the Customer Contract forms part of Hunter Water's Operating Licence, IPART would normally review the contract as part of its end of term review which is due in 2011/2012. However, the Hunter Water Act 1991 and the Hunter Water Corporation Operating Licence 2007-2012 provide for the review and amendment of the customer Contract during the term of the Operating Licence. Hunter Water has requested an early review of its customer contract. This will enable Hunter Water to implement changes which it considers will benefit its customers and itself.
