WUA MidCo Pty Ltd has applied for a network operator’s and a retail supplier’s licence, under the WIC Act to provide recycled water and retail services for the existing Kooragang Industrial Water Scheme (KIWS) in the Newcastle local government area.
In April 2022, WUA Midco Pty Ltd has withdrawn its applications. IPART had not made a recommendation to the Minister about the applications. We will not undertake further assessment in relation to these applications. A new application has been submitted by its subsidiary company Kooragang Water Pty Ltd.
