We have been asked to investigate and advise on appropriate pricing arrangements for the NSW grain line network as it is defined in the NSW Grain Freight Review. The NSW grain line network is a collection of lines spanning over 1,100km that connect the grain growing regions in the North, Central and South-West of the State to the Country Regional Network and main lines to port. Many of the lines are over 100 years old and are mainly Class 5, which enables them to carry only light axle locomotives at low speeds.
