This report was prepared for the Tribunal by Booz Allen Hamilton as an input to IPART's 2003 review of taxi fares in NSW. The report describes current taxi fare levels and structures around Australia and the world, sets out an appraisal of NSW taxi cost structures according to key cost and#039driversand#039 and outlines the structure and level of taxi tariffs based on these cost structures. The report also presents the results of an international review of evidence on the price elasticity of demand for taxi travel.
