IPART is currently reviewing the maximum fares for private ferries and the Stockton ferry in Newcastle in 2015. Today we have released a draft report, draft determination, media release and consultant report which are available on our review page.
Of the eight ferry services under review, maximum fares will be unchanged for five, with maximum fares for the remaining services to increase by 30 cents per trip (or up to 4.7% after rounding fares) under the recommendations in the draft report released today.
We invite all interested parties to make submissions in response to the draft report.
We will be holding a public forum to discuss the draft report on 4 November 2014 at 10.00 am in IPART’s offices.
