In December 2008, IPART released its final report and determination of CityRail's fares for 2009-2012. In December 2009 IPART released its final report and determination on metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses for 2010-2013. The Government has decided that CityRail train fares and metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus fares will not increase in 2011. The fares will continue to comply with our determinations, because the determinations sets maximum allowable fares and the 2011 fares are below these levels. IPART's CityRail and Metropolitan and Outer Metropolitan Bus Services: Prices and Services Report 2010 sets out CityRail's and metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus fares from January 2011. It also includes information on CityRail's and metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses’ financial and service performance in 2009/10.
