As part of our fare determinations we release an annual prices and services report for both CityRail and metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus service providers at the end of each year so that passengers can see the outcome of this process.
The NSW government has chosen to set fares below the maximums that we have determined. Transport for NSW wrote to IPART to advise that the NSW Government resolved to increase fares for CityRail and metropolitan and outer metropolitan bus services in 2012 to offset increases in the CPI since 2010.
