The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) is requested, under section 9 of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal Act 1992, to investigate and provide advice on possible pricing principles and alternative arrangements, including possible private sector involvement, for the delivery of water and wastewater services in the greater Sydney metropolitan area, with a view to making recommendations for providing these services in the most efficient, effective and sustainable way.
