The NSW Government has asked IPART to assess current and projected levels of ethanol supply and demand in the context of State demand for petrol and the requirement under the Biofuels Act 2007 for a volume fuel seller to sell a volume of ethanol that is not less than 6% of total petrol sales by that seller in NSW. IPART is to provide its final report to the Premier within 6 weeks of the issue of the Terms of Reference.
