We reviewed New South Wales climate change mitigation measures to assess whether the policies complement the CPRS. We also recommended an assessment framework to ensure that NSW Government climate change policies are efficient, effective and complement the CPRS in future.
From 2010, the Federal Government’s Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) will be the principal policy measure in Australia for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
