This fact sheet provides a list of councils that have advised IPART that they intend to apply for a Special Variation under the Local Government Act 1993 from 2012/13. Most councils are currently undertaking consultation with their communities about their proposed special variations. If councils decide to proceed with their applications, they must submit them to IPART by 24 February 2012.
