The NSW Government asked IPART to perform the role of the Expert Advisory Panel to assess how councils met the Government's Fit for the Future criteria. Councils prepared proposals as to how they met the criteria for submission to us by 30 June 2015.
Our role was to consider proposals independently and ensure a consistent, fair and impartial assessment. The Assessment Methodology paper explains our methodology used to assess the proposals.
