The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) today released an issues paper for a review of landholder benchmark compensation rates. IPART is to recommend appropriate compensation benchmarks to guide landholders in negotiating agreements with gas companies for hosting gas exploration and production.
The issues paper seeks input from stakeholders on the relevant impacts for which landholders should receive compensation, approaches to valuing this compensation and the appropriateness of legislative provisions for compensation.
Submissions to the issues paper are due by 29 May.
