The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) today released an issues paper for a review of solar feed-in tariffs in 2015-16.

IPART is to set a benchmark range for solar feed-in tariffs to help customers choose the best electricity offer to meet their needs. IPART will also determine the retailer contribution towards the costs of the Solar Bonus Scheme. We have made an interim determination that the retailer contribution will remain at 5.1 cents per kilowatt hour until replaced by a subsequent determination at the end of our review.

The issues paper seeks input from stakeholders on our proposed methodology to estimate the value of solar PV exports.

Submissions to the issues paper are due by 13 July.
