IPART has developed draft reliability standards for the NSW transmission network by applying an economic assessment that aims to identify the level of reliability that would provide the most value to customers. This assessment takes into account both the cost of providing reliability, which is paid for by customers through their electricity prices, and the costs to customers of experiencing outages. The Draft Report sets out the draft standards that aim to strike the appropriate balance between these costs.

Submissions to this Draft Report close on 27 June 2016. A public hearing on the Draft Report will be held in Sydney on 28 June 2016.
