As of 1 July 2019, Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy will be required to comply with the NSW Public Lighting Code (2018) as a condition of their operating licences. IPART has drafted the Electricity networks reporting manual – Public Lighting Code compliance reporting outlining Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy (Public Lighting Service Providers)’s reporting requirements under the NSW Public Lighting Code 2018. The draft reporting manual outlines the reporting requirements for Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy to provide IPART with sufficient information to exercise its regulatory functions. This reporting manual is now published for consultation with all interested stakeholders.

The NSW Public Lighting Code (2018) outlines an agreed level of service between the Public Lighting Service Providers and their public lighting customers (Councils and Local, State and Federal Public Authorities).

Public submissions to IPART regarding the proposed reporting manual can be made here until 10 May 2019.

The consultation period for the draft reporting manual is from 15 April 2019 until 10 May 2019 with a view to publish the final reporting manual in June 2019.
