IPART is currently reviewing a section of its Electricity Networks Audit Guideline related to the audit of electricity networks’ safety management systems, and in particular, the development of a Formal Safety Assessment to assess risk and identify suitable controls. This issue was previously the subject of a discussion paper developed by consultant r2a. The consultation draft includes our proposed updates to Chapter 5 and the associated Appendix B of our current Electricity Networks Audit Guideline. We are seeking comments on our proposed approach. Submissions are open until 28 April 2017.
