IPART regulates the electricity network operators including under the Electricity Network Assets (Authorised Transactions) Act 2015. Schedule 4 of the Act provides employment guarantees. The employment guarantees apply to those network operators that are proposed to be at least partially leased to private operators, namely TransGrid, Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy, and set out provisions relating to minimum employee numbers, restrictions on changes to workplace locations, and protections for some current employment conditions.
This chapter of the Reporting Manual explains our approach to monitoring network operators’ compliance with the employment guarantees and outlines the information we will collect for this purpose.
