Every audit proposal submitted to IPART must contain a statement that confirms that the auditor does not have a conflict of interest with the proposed auditee or, where appropriate, describes any potential conflict and how this potential conflict will be managed. Auditors are only to amend this document to include the relevant details for each audit. See page 3 of our ‘Electricity Networks Audit Guideline – Audit Fundamental, process and findings’ for more information on what we might consider to present a conflict of interest.
