As part of its section 12A inquiry into electricity network and transmission pricing, the Tribunal is examining the efficiency of NSW distribution businesses. The NSW electricity distribution network service providers (DNSPs) commissioned UMS to gauge their efficiency against international counterparts. UMS and the DNSPs agreed to provide IPART with a summary of findings from the study. As the Tribunal is keen to ensure that it has a wide range of information on potential efficiency gains and that such information be available to all stakeholders for comment, it is eleasing the UMS summary
for comment.
