In March 1996, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal handed down Determinations Nos. 2.1 and 2.2 of 1996 on electricity prices. These determinations established the revenue paths for both network and retail businesses for the period to 30 June, 1999.
A number of anomalies have arisen from the operation of the revenue paths. These require rectification. This current process has been established to address these anomalies. The fundamental basis underlying the decisions of the Tribunal made in the March Determinations remains unchanged. It is not intended that this should be re-visited in the current process.
